Appointed by the City of Edmonton to serve as the Project Manager of the Boyle Renaissance Project, initially conceived as a $185 million mixed-use initiative. The City served as developer and acquired privately owned land in order to transform 2 1⁄2 city blocks in downtown Edmonton into an innovative housing development offering transitional and supportive housing options, health care, social services agency supports and recreational and cultural opportunities. Established the Boyle Renaissance Advisory Committee and facilitated an integrated planning process which led to the development of an area master plan which accommodated the needs and aspirations of the non-profit developer/partners as well as the surrounding neighbourhood resident groups, a heritage preservation component, and community gardens/open space. The master plan was adopted unanimously by Edmonton City Council at a public hearing in April, 2010, with no opposition from the community.
