McKay Finnigan and Associates has served Trails Manitoba in a variety of capacities including as workshop facilitators, Interim Executive Director, and trail development consultants.

Interim Executive Director - From June 2012 to July 2013, MFA worked as a team to fill the Executive Directorship position of Trails Manitoba. Among a variety of administrative duties, MFA was responsible for the following:
  • Fundraising
  • Managing the Border to Beaches project
  • Developing the next phase of the Trans Canada Trail workplan in Manitoba
  • Communication with members and stakeholders

  • Trail Feasibility Study: Swan Lake First Nation - In the fall of 2014, MFA completed a feasiblity study aimed to assist the community of Swan Lake First Nation in developing a section of the Trans Canada Trail on the Carberry Reserve lands in southwestern Manitoba.

    Trail Completion and Signage Strategy: Most recently, our firm assisted Trails Manitoba to develop a trail completion and signage strategy as part of Vision 2017. The oultined strategy is focussed on various incomplet trail gaps throughout southwestern Manitoba, including the City of Winnipeg.
